Clinical Trial Administrator (CTA) is a trained professional who helps facilitate a clinical trial and primarily manages the administrative aspects at every stage of the clinical trial process.
Duration: 3-day intensive course, CPD accredited Tutors: Dr Lia Hunter and Donnamarie Donalds

- Understand the stages and phases of clinical trial development
- Understand the life cycle of a clinical trial (Start-up, Conduct, Close-Out)
- Understand who regulates clinical trials and why

Clinical Trial Administrator (CTA) is the entry level role for those interested in the field of Clinical Research. This course delivers a comprehensive and valuable insight into the role of a CTA. Learn their essential day-to-day responsibilities within the regulations and rules that govern clinical trials. Using scenario based training and group workshops, activities such as case scenarios and simulation exercises will be adopted.
The life cycle of a marketed product will be examined. Sample trial master files and study documents will be reviewed and constructed to reinforce the learning concepts. An end of course exam will take place on day 3 with a passmark of 70%.
CLINICAL RESEARCH ASSOCIATE (CRA) – Beginners CRA
£1,500.00 / per course
Clinical Research Associate (CRA) primarily manages the managerial aspects of a number of clinical trials, at every stage of the process.
Duration: 3-day intensive course, CPD accredited Tutors: Dr Lia Hunter and Donnamarie Donalds
- Identify suitable Investigator for participate in a clinical trial.
- Perform pre-selection visits to assess the suitability of a site to conduct the trial.
- Understanding of essential study documentation necessary to start a trial
- Conduct Pre-trial procedures including drug release IP
- Set up Investigational sites for conduct of the study
- Conduct an initiation visit
- Monitor the conduct at the investigational site
- Review source documentation and site file review
- Perform site management activities
- Conduct a close-out visit at the end of the study. complete a clinical trial
Clinical Research Associate (Beginners) is an excellent starter course to equip you with the skills for conducting clinical trial initiation, monitoring, and basic site management at the investigational site. Practical and hands-on workshops focus on current practice to develop practical experience of the role. Participants will learn the responsibilities of the Clinical Research Associate (CRA) and the regulations and rules that govern clinical trials.
Practical sessions are based on real life settings and actual case scenarios, to provide valuable insights in to the profession. Mock up sample protocols, and study documents will be used throughout the course to reinforce the training. An end of course exam will take place on day 3 with a passmark of 70%.
